Every Family, Fully Recognized
LGBTQ Family Law
LGBTQ families sometimes need an added legal step that other families don’t, whether that’s a second-parent adoption to secure a non-biological parent’s rights, a co-parenting agreement, or simply an attorney who understands how Colorado law applies when a family doesn’t fit the traditional legal template. Kate represents LGBTQ clients across divorce, custody, and parentage matters with attention to detail.
Some of this work happens before there’s ever a dispute: establishing legal parentage early protects a family down the road. Other times, Kate is brought in for a divorce or custody matter that simply deserves an attorney who won’t need a family’s structure explained to them. Either way, the goal is to provide protections that every family deserves.
